How are you handling the pandemic situation?

My workplace has sent most of it’s staff home including myself, working from home felt pretty strange for the first few days though I think I’m now somewhat used to it. I definitely miss my friends, family and just spending time outside the house.

How are you during these sci-fi movie like times?

My company sent me home to work, too. I am still adjusting. I’m starting to get a good routine going, but I often find myself feeling lonely. The social isolation has been really tough on me. I miss my family, friends, and co-workers.

HollyAnne I’m the head of IT and information security at the firm I work for. We activated our business continuity program about 4 weeks ago now. So far, the systems I designed are holding up well, and I’m lucky to have my family home with me, so isolation isn’t so bad.

HollyAnne I can definitely relate here, it already feels like forever ago that I met up with a friend, colleague or even family member. It will end eventually I’m sure of it, just unsure of exactly when.

I’m essential and that means I had to work throughout and I had to work from work. It really made zero sense but they wouldn’t set me up at home. I’m an accountant and could have certainly worked from home.

I have to admit that I was mad when people complained that they had to stay home! I would have much rather worked at home.

I was and still am essential and because of that I stayed busy with work and am now vaccinated. I had to take all the precautions everyone else did, which was a pain, but things are getting better now.

I was considered essential but did not qualify for the vaccine until last week. Things are finally starting to open up here too. I am ready for some normalcy, for sure.
