Easter is upon us!
I confess, I personally use Easter as an excuse to stuff as much chocolate in my belly as possible. This year I’m looking to choose a more ethically sourced chocolate treat than the regular off the self brand at my local supermarket.
What to look for when choosing an ethically sound Easter Egg
- Is palm oil used?
- Where is it manufactured?
- Is it fairtrade?
- Organic?
- Plastic free or recyclable packaging?
An egg doesn’t have to check all of these boxes to be a more ethically responsible option, but the more, the merrier in my opinion. Most off-self brands won’t tick any of these boxes unfortunately, luckily for you, I’ve complied a list of morally pleasing eggs.
By no means is this article intending to diminish your moral heath, there’s no such thing as perfect, morals aren’t built on what Easter Egg you choose to eat this year. If you’ve already purchased your treats, enjoy them, there’s always next year if you wish to choose a kinder option.
Just a quick disclaimer, we’re not sponsored by any of these companies.
